 No matter which savings product you choose, the best part about saving at SIU CU is the element of safety. Members’ deposits are federally insured by the National Credit Union Association (NCUA) for up to $100,000.
 Current Rates
 Our Membership Shares Account is our basic savings account. When you join SIU Credit Union, you begin by opening a Membership Shares Account. A $5 minimum initial deposit and balance is required to maintain your membership.
- Required for membership and $5 deposit to open
- Dividends compounded and paid monthly on the Average Daily Balance (ADB)
- 3 free withdrawals per month (each additional $1.00)
The Custom Daily Savings account is great for members who maintain a high average daily balance and want to earn a little more interest than what his or her Membership Shares account offers.
- $500 minimum to open and earn interest
- Interest calculated on the daily balance and paid monthly
- 2 free withdrawals per month (each additional $1.00)
Use SIU CU’s Holiday Savings to buy all of your holiday gifts.
- Interest compounded and paid quarterly on the ADB
- Matures on Sept. 30 (no withdrawals allowed without penalties)
- Money from your Holiday Savings Account is automatically transferred into your Member Shares Account on the mature date. For more payment options, please contact SIU Credit Union for other payment options.

The Bailey Bobcat Club is a savings account to encourage children to start saving early. The Bailey Bobcat account is for children 12 and under.
