As a person that is on the go a lot, I find myself having to use alternate ATMs or services that SIU Credit Union offers quite often. Here are a few things that I like to use when I’m out of the office that may be helpful to you, you wonderful person you!

Shared ATM Networks & Shared Branching

I didn’t really utilize the convenience of a surcharge-free ATM until I was traveling to Orange Beach, AL, last May.

I downloaded the Allpoint and Shared Co-op phone apps and enabled the GPS feature. I was staying with my friend in Pensacola, FL, and immediately found a nearby ATM at the Winn-Dixie 5 miles away. Extremely convenient! It was actually more convenient than the local banks were for my friend’s husband. Again, I digress. I love SIU Credit Union!

If I needed to talk to a person or do a transaction in a branch while on the road, all I would need is to find a Co-op Shared Branch – Alabama Credit Union is one – and, bring in my state ID.

Mobile Banking App

Our mobile banking app is great for transferring money from one account to another. You can even pay your SIU Credit Union Visa® bill with it! Now, Mobile Deposit is available inside the app as well. It’s super easy to use. Just enter the check amount and take pictures of the front and back of the check. Please allow a few business days for this to be deposited as the branch will be closed on December 25.

My Card is Blocked and No One Is At SIU CU

As I have heard many o’times, if your card seems to be blocked for potential fraud, simply find a nearest in-network ATM to you. Insert your card and check your balance 2 or 3 times. This tells the system that you are present with your card by physically inserting the card and entering your PIN. This would hopefully help you in this situation!
