SIU Credit Union Sponsors Knock Hunger Food Drive

Food and Monetary Donation Presented to Marion Ministerial Alliance

Carbondale, IL- August 11, 2016  With support from our staff, members, communities, and partners, the SIU Credit Union sponsored Knock Hunger Out of the Park food drive was a success. Approximately $7,500 in non-perishable food and monetary donations were collected to benefit the Marion Ministerial Alliance.

“I’m very pleased that our staff put so much heart into this year’s Knock Hunger out of the Park food drive.  Everyone at SIU Credit Union is incredibly dedicated to making a difference in the communities that we serve,” said Karli Feldhake, Vice President of Marketing for SIU Credit Union. “We had a blast at Miners game and to top it off we surpassed our food drive goal!  Thank you to our staff, members, and community partners for their overwhelming support.”

Knock Hunger Out of the Park is an event to benefit local food pantries in southern Illinois by asking the community to donate non-perishable food items at select Southern Illinois Miners home games.  SIU Credit Union presented donations to the Marion Ministerial Alliance at the game on August 10, 2016.
