UPDATE - 7.1.18: Our technology upgrade is complete, and Online and Mobile Banking are again available. Everyone will need to log in again to get access to their account. If anyone has any password issues, please contact our call center on Monday morning at 800.449.7301. Thank you for your patience!

UPDATE - 6.30.18: Online/Mobile banking will be unavailable for a period of time during the upgrade, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29th. Members will need to log in again to their Online/Mobile banking account when it becomes available AFTER the upgrade is completed.

UPDATE - 3:00PM 6.29.2018: The debit card transaction correction from this morning has been tested, and cards should be able to be used normally. If anyone experiences any further issues, please contact callcenter@siucu.org or call 800.449.7301.


SIU Credit Union is engaging in a technology upgrade June 29- July 1. While this will result in a slight inconvenience to our members, we are hoping to minimize the impact as much as possible. Please review the information below:

  • What is the purpose of this upgrade? With new technology comes additional security features and faster, more convenient member service. We recognize that our members are stretched for time and aim to make banking transactions, loan processing and financial services as efficient and effective as possible. We aim to help you conduct your financial activities more quickly and easily than ever before.

    How will the upgrade impact the hours of operation at the credit union? SIU Credit Union branches will be closed Saturday, June 30th. The upgrade will kick off after our nightly processing completes on Friday, June 29th.

    What resources are available for me to access additional information? Call center staff will be available during normal business hours (8-5 Mon-Thurs., 8-6 Fri.). Additionally, we will provide periodic updates on our Facebook page (facebook.com/siucreditunion) and on our website over the course of the weekend.

    Will I be able to access online banking? Online banking will be unavailable for a period of time during the upgrade, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29th. We will post an update on our Facebook page and website when it becomes available. Members will need to log in again to their Online/Mobile banking account when it becomes available after the upgrade is completed.

    Will I be able to access mobile banking? Online banking will be unavailable for a period of time during the upgrade, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29th. We will post an update on our Facebook page and website when it becomes available. Members will need to log in again to their Online/Mobile banking account when it becomes available after the upgrade is completed.

    Will I be able to use my SIU Credit Union ATM/debit card? Yes, ATM/debit cards are available. The debit card transaction correction from Friday morning has been tested, and cards should be able to be used normally. If anyone experiences any further issues, please contact callcenter@siucu.org or call 800.449.7301. As access to your account balance via online and mobile banking will be impacted, we encourage you to track your spending and make smart decisions regarding your purchases during this time.

    Will I be able to use my SIU Credit Union Visa credit card? Yes, credit card services will be fully functioning.

    What changes will I see in online banking? You may notice some minor differences when making transactions in online banking. However, they will process as they always have.
