SIU Credit Union holds an annual meeting generally the third Tuesday of March. Our last annual meeting was held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. All members are encouraged and welcome to attend SIU Credit Union's Annual Meeting.

Election for Board of Directors

Elections for open seats on the SIU Credit Union Board of Directors are held at the Annual Meeting.  The following nominees met all qualifications to be elected to the SIU Credit Union Board of Directors:

 2018 Elected Officials

Keith McDannel began serving the SIU Credit Union as a member of the Supervisory  Committee  for one year before being elected as a board member in June 2014. He is currently a member of the Finance Committee . Before coming to SIU, Keith served as the chairman of the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Electric  Employees. Keith is an electrician for Southern Illinois Power Cooperative in Marion, IL.  He resides in Creal Springs and is also the Associate Pastor at Pittsburg Freewill Baptist Church.

Richard Parrish has been a volunteer for the SIU Credit Union over 30 years.  He has served on the supervisory committee and the credit committee before joining the board of directors.  While on the board, he has served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman.  A native of Southern Illinois, he received his B.S. at SIU then served 10  years in the military before returning for graduate work in Public Administration, followed by 24 years of employment at SIU.

Thomas Lindquist is a retired former art and industrial education teacher of 33 years for Marion Unit 2 Schools. He served for 15 years on the board of directors of Southern Illinois Schools Credit Union before it merged with SIU Credit Union in 2004.

Nominations for the vacancies may also be made by a petition signed by one percent (1%) of members with a minimum of twenty (20) and a maximum of five hundred (500) signatures.  If there is more than one nominee per open position, an election by ballot will be held.  However, the election will not be conducted by ballot when there is only one nominee for each vacancy.  All nominations by petition must be sent to the attention of the Credit Union Secretary and received no later than Friday, February 1, 2019.
