Carbondale, IL – May 10, 2016 – SIU Credit Union is proud to announce the awarding of scholarships to deserving students pursuing higher education degrees. The scholarship presentations were made at the Giant City Road branch in Carbondale to five students. Each received a $1,000 scholarship for the 2016-17 school year. The 2016 scholarship winners along with their institutions and fields of study are noted below.

Timothy Campbell

Timothy Campbell of Johnston City is currently attending John A. Logan College where he is majoring in Computer Forensics.

James Andrew Jefferies

James Andrew Jefferies is a 2016 graduate of Harrisburg High School. He plans to attend either Illinois State University or University of Illinois at Chicago to study Communications.

Christopher Stanley

Christopher Stanley of Marion is currently attending Southern Illinois University – Carbondale where he is majoring in Math Education.

Megan Westra

Megan Westra is a 2016 graduate of Carterville High School. She plans to attend Southern Illinois University – Carbondale to study Interior Design and Photography.

Kian Stevens-Winston

Kian Stevens-Winston will graduate from Carbondale Community High School in 2016. He plans to attend Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, to study Music Business.
