ImageSIU Credit Union was founded in 1938 as Jackson County Teachers' Credit Union. Today, we serve 24 counties and many employer groups in southern Illinois.

SIU Credit Union is our name, but you don't need to work at Southern Illinois University or be a student to become a member

Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to any of the following individuals:

  •   Anyone who lives or works in the following Illinois counties:

    Edwards Pope
    Franklin Pulaski
    Gallatin Randolph
    Hamilton Saline
    Hardin Union
    Jackson Wabash
    Jefferson Washington
    Johnson Wayne
    Marion White
    Massac Williamson

  •   Anyone who works for one of our member companies (SEGs)
      Anyone who belongs to any of the eligible associations
    Immediate family members of existing members (parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandchildren, or grandparents)
